SV650S as a first bike?

What do we think? Thinking of moving over to two wheels, and an SV looks about the best bet for a first bike with a decent amount of pace. Every review I've ever read seems to say it's a brilliant bike, but just wanted a few 'real world' opinions, if you know what I mean?

had one on hire from carole nash for 3 months
great torque, pulls wheelies just on gas
not very comfy, mind i'm 6"2
liked the lcd dash
