You could wear the helmet, and secure it using the strap that passes under the chin? Then there's no need to store it.

You could buy an NC700/750 that have built in storage but that’s probably too powerful for you...

Other than an NC/scooter not sure what your options are? I believe some BMW side cases expand enough to put a helmet in, on the F800 at least. Could you adapt those?

^^^ I use the pacsafe and no complaints. I put my sat nav inside the helmet and that only leaves my gloves to take with me if I’m off for a coffee.
