Ducati Scrambler
Discussion
I got given one of these as a courtesy bike today as my Panigale has issues that need sorting under warranty and I couldn’t get home otherwise.
Ok they’re very different bikes and it took me 10 mins or so to get used to an upright riding position again but I have to say it’s a great bike, I like it a lot, not great on the motorway if I’m honest but other riding it’s great, it doesn’t really make you want to go fast in it though, definately more of a cruiser type bike, but it’s comfortable, well put together and looks good.
Has anyone else had a go on one or owned one?.

I had one for the day when my Panigale was in for a service and AI too liked it. I liked it a lot. Riding “flat out” everywhere at far more modest speeds was a bit of a revelation - and boy did it look cool. But I struggled with the riding position, the clocks, and ultimately it felt sluggish, slow and heavy. The Desert Sled is not cheap, either.
And then next time the Ducati was in they lent me a new Triumph Street Triple. Wowser, so much better in every way than the Scrambler, faster, nimbler, sound, riding position. If I was looking for a middleweight naked then that is where my money would go, No stop giggles, but challenging looks.

I don’t think I’d spend my own money on one to be fair, but did think it was quite enjoyable and I do think they look good.
I know what you mean about the riding position, it felt really odd for the first few miles and is definately not a motorway bike.
Would be good around town though, although this may just be because it was comfortable and didn’t try and burn me alive like the V4 does.
