Shipping a motorcycle from Australia to the UK

[AceOfHearts]

Has anyone here done it or know what is involved / likely costs? Basically I am in Australia for a year and am planning on buying a (rare) bike, and would like to hopefully get it shipped home to the UK when I come home.

With what's happening in March, any advise offered now might be different when you want to bring the thing over.

I remember one of the guys on tdr priced up shipping his GSXR1000 racebike over to Aus.
The cost made it prohibitive, so he brought a bike down there.

Thats true, I know how expensive it is shipping stuff over here as Australia has huge import duties, but i can find little out online about exporting from here :/

Unless I just ship it to Asia and ride it back
