Is this show worth visiting? Haven't been for years.

I go every year, and every year I ask myself why I bother TBH.

Year on year it seems to get worse and smaller, it's expensive to get in, expensive to park and food is overpriced and pretty crap.

However, it gives me something to do in the middle of winter and to have a day out with mates, it's just an excuse for us to get together for a bit of banter and check out the bikes.

Ditto.

I do find it hard to stomach the £16 parking this year though, but riding down is such a dull event from Cheshire. I have started taking a small packed lunch too, I begrudge paying over the odds for minimum quality service station food.

A41/A5 as far as Jct11 M6 still boring?

I don't think I'll bother this year and I'm only in Cannock.

16 pounds to park! Jesus this goes up yearly!

Why does ANYONE pay that? It is robbery of the highest order just so some **** can drive around in a bus all day

Park in Birmingham International Station or the airport parking, which is either £10 or £12 and considerably closer than the NEC parking as it's all linked to the NEC via a covered walkway.

I've only been once, but I quite enjoyed having a look at all the bikes, and watching the FMX show. Had I known I would have booked ahead for some test rides too.

Parking is £10 if you book in advance, not committed to a particular day.
Going this year for a dose of shiny things, didn't go last year, every couple of years I think it's worth it as a day out. As others have said it is pricey these days and the food is dreadful.
Oh also this year if you buy your ticket in advance you have the option of coughing up another £6 and getting an Oxford disc- lock worth (£20-£25) so sort of a deal, can always use another lock!

It is what it is, I like the fact that you can see a lot of bikes under one roof and get to sit on a lot of stuff, I treat it as a day out with a few friends, going on the 24th.

Food is a bit steep though.

Just be careful if you stop at the Nick Saunders stand, he can talk the hind leg off a donkey.

Usually go every year but dates clash so off to the classic car show instead ....

Its a good day out and a social thing rather than the bargaintastic day out shopping it used to be, saying that I still usually get home with yet another lid !!

Went last year and will be going this year on the Monday.

All those moaning about parking I can understand, but the entrance fee of £20 is reasonable enough for a day out, and the motocross show is worth half that easily I reckon.

I get the train, which is about £6-7 return and take some grub as I don't mind paying the prices but the food is dog ste.

Good opportunity once a year to see all the bikes under one roof and to get some gear if needed.
