He let me borrow his ZX12R for a week! He gets the Chimaera as partial compensation.

Only rode it home (about 15 miles), and its awsome. Going to wales tomorow so I'd better watch out for the BIB!

Similarly, I gave a friend a run back from the garage last night where he was dropping his '99 ZX6R off for some work. Whilst it's in the garage, another friend is loaning him his '04 Benelli TNT - lucky bast!!

Well let me tell you Hyperdrive and Warp speed just don't say enough. It is really more like time dialation (or maybe displacement), because as soon as you open the throttle everything aroung you (cars, bikes, planes, TIME) seems to have slowed down. Then tere is a corner! good thing it has good Brakes.

So in total today apart from riding the ZX12R back from Wales through the Breacons, I have test ridden a CBR1100XX, a VFR800 and a ZZR1200, taken a CBR600 in for a service and had a Deauville as a loaner. So in total I have had over 5.5 litres between my legs today

Which did I like best? Tough one. the ZX12r was awsomely powerfull and sporty to boot but not overly comfy for a long journey. The VFR was very comfy and made some good noise bit viby though. The Blackbird very smooth and the brakes felt good. The ZZR had everything I wanted (DB screen and Luggage) went and stopped well. Then the CBR600 felt very weedy and small after that lot and the less said about the deauville the better (its not that bad just not for me)

Now if I could only decide what to buy CBR1000xx or ZZR1200!

(if I dont buy the zzr I might have to change my sign-on name)

I love the ZX12R awesome power , wheelies well as a bonus, not many things will keep up with it on the roads , good fun making R1's and the like go backwards on the strights , means you can go steady on the bends and leave them trailing agin .

I'm on an 02 zzr1200 and have done 52,000 miles on it now. It's a great bike in all conditions, I commute into London in all weathers. They are replacing it very soon so you may get a good deal on a new one very soon.
