I’ve just seen a report on the news that the Met are now allowed to use stingers against scooter gangs and knock the bds off.

The newsreader said some viewers might find the following footage disturbing, I found it very satisfying!

They are also allowed 'tactical' contact, which looks like they are allowed to ram the bikes.

This is long past due.

However whilst I'm not particularly concerned about the health of these parasites, falling onto a stinger could be pretty nasty; I'd imagine you could bleed out in no time with hollow tubes stuck into an artery.

Hm, shame. However they'd be going over the stinger at speed so momentum would mean they'd be unlikely to actuall fall on the stinger.

And yes the TV news report makes it clear that police cars are now allowed to ram scooters, regardless if they're wearing helmets or not. They even showed footage of a ramming. It's the sort of thing that would normally make you wince, but...

Damn you’re right! So they need to use two stingers, with the second one placed 12 foot after the first one.

A harpoon would be pretty effective too...

I wonder if this has been the police's plan the whole time, let things get so bad that everyone is desperate for them to start tackling the problem - suddenly the crims well being is a lower priority to people.

  • That video is amazingly gratifying after endless videos of violent bike thefts / jackings.

Unfortunately this policy will be stopped as soon as a rammed rider is injured and sues the force.

Excellent news!! It's not as good as my idea which was for organised shooting days to be arranged and shoot them for sport, a bit like driven game, but I still like it.

About time too, I think the cars should have the same front end bull bars as American police cars

Heh I cannot bring myself to click on a Dailyhate link ;-) I think this is the same video: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/moped-...

Hehe, it was fun to watch. Just a shame most seem to be able to walk it off.

As satisfying as those clips are, it just ups the ante, it won't stop them, they're not the kind of people that think..oh, they're going to ram us we better get jobs..they'll just be more desperate in their actions.

No it’s the opposite- mopeds have massively increased in popularity since the police stopped chasing them- now they are willing to knock them off if need be they will be a less favourable tool to use to commit crimes.

They may not get jobs because of it- but at least it makes their activities harder to continue to do

really warms the heart to see the police finally being unshackled and allowed to get on with the job of nailing these little scrotes

They are scooters - not seen a moped for years.
