I've had long hair for more than half my life, my man bun is entirely out of practicality /laziness.
I don't own anything hipster ish although I was 9 when my srad was built so maybe I need to talk more about how 'retro' it is?
Man bun and Gixxer, you sir are completely in the wrong place ,,,,,, may I suggest you try Crawley ......I don't own anything hipster ish although I was 9 when my srad was built so maybe I need to talk more about how 'retro' it is?

I've got a 'tache and an air cooled Moto Guzzi, who wants to meet for vegan coffee some time?
Maybe we could talk about how we secretly wish we were cool enough to ride a Gixxer with tiny LED indicators, trackday bodywork and a 'daytime MOT' in camo trousers and a Monster energy hoodie on one wheel
Fixed that for you .....Maybe we could talk about how we secretly wish we were cool enough to ride a Gixxer with tiny LED indicators, trackday bodywork and a 'daytime MOT' in camo trousers and a Monster energy hoodie on one wheel

I have an xsr900, a tobacco leather jacket and jeans but no beard. Do I qualify?
Depends. Do you shave or just can't grow one?
I own a Shark Vancore lid (most uncomfortable, noisy, drafty piece of s
t I've ever worn on a bike) - does that count?
Oh, & Mrs B bought a bottle of gin with cranberry & herb flavouring from Sainsburys the other day - she liked the pink colour, but it turned out the bottle itself was tinted pink & the liquid clear.....

I have to laugh. Hipsters are the generation after the old guard and are therefore disapproved of by the oldies. Like the old guard weren't disapproved of by their dads on their M20s and flat tank triumphs!
Be rebellious! But only in the way I tell you!
I'm all for more people getting into bikes. Especially as a lot of them seem to be into the greasy fingernails custom scene. Good for them. Or should we go back to the good old days of camo hoodies, combats and Gixxers?

Hipsters started in the early 90's, i think I was a pioneer, I wore plaid shirts, ripped jeans, ripped because I wore them to death, converse, because they were cheap and I listened to Nirvana and other grunge bands like Mudhoney along with Brit bands like The Charlatans, Ride, Neds Atomic Dustbin etc etc. We bought second hand clothes because we were students and rode bicycles, because we were students, we had long hair and hairy faces because we were lazy and students. We recycled and drank ale (The Wine Vaults in Portsmouth it was next to a laundrette and thus my first introduction to Real Ale).
Everything else from then on is fake, and these 'retro' motorcycles are abit of a joke unless they do it with a modern take, no fake carbs please! I think the z900rs Kawasaki is the best of the lot.
NB I still wear plaid shirts and jeans that I never wash, but I don't wear Converse because they cost more than my bike now.

I guess I’m fully paid up

I think you may be possibly wrong. I sometimes qualify in the last four of your list, minus the goggles, and I'm the anti-hipster. Beard - tick

Tatty brown jacket -tick
Jeans - tick
