There is a pretty big price difference, would the KTM be significantly more off-road focused than touring?

The KTM RRP is £700 cheaper than the Triumph RRP surprisingly.I would expect the KTM to be better off road and at least as good or better on road.The cheaper 790 'non R' Adventure would probably make the better road bike and be more than capable for a bit of 'soft roading'. If you're looking solely for a touring bike there's probably better options than all of these, but your post is unclear in that respect. I 'd personally buy the R regardless .

Yes, I'd be using it for touring, so 80/20 on/off road. But I'd like something capable off-road.
