London Motorcycle Show
Discussion
I haven't been for a couple of years now, due mainly to the outlay:
Tickets for 2 = £44 + 'transaction fee'
Petrol for travel = £15
Parking at Excel = £20 (!!!!)
'Food' (if you can call their utterly dire offerings) = £30
Total = £109 at least
My local multi-franchise dealer is excellent, with most brands except Triumph, so can't see the point in going to show....

I went on Friday and thought I would share my thoughts in case it helps other decide whether to go over the weekend. Let's get the obvious out the way first, it is much smaller than the NEC show.
There didn't seem to be as many trade stands although if you wanted to buy a 3m long USB cable, there seemed to be about 20 sellers of these! I was hoping to pick up a couple of discounted Kriega items but they had zero deals, so might as well just get them on SBS with free delivery and not have to carry them around.
I was hoping to check out a CRF250L and rally, however Honda had no off road stuff, same for Yamaha as well I think. Triumph stand was the biggest and most well stocked, as well as the busiest
The adventure talks were really good so make sure you sit down for a bit and enjoy these.
On the whole, it was better than a day at the office and one positive is that you can pay £10 to upgrade your ticket to go into the classic car show which had some amazinf stuff, both old and new. The bike show also felt much busier and hectic compared to the car show.

I was on the adventure stage (glad you enjoyed it) all weekend so didn't get chance to wander around but what a shame Honda didn't bother to take any CRF250Ls. Sometimes the manufacturers just leave you stumped with their logic, or lack of. Seemed busy this year though and I think there was a bit more 'buzz' than other years. That's what it felt like anyway.There didn't seem to be as many trade stands although if you wanted to buy a 3m long USB cable, there seemed to be about 20 sellers of these! Nail on the head right there. I was expecting something bigger. Although I wish I'd known about the ten pound upgrade to take in the classic car show - bugger!
