R1200GS market

My local BMW dealer's used stock is almost entirely 1200GSs, very few of the usual K1600s or RTs.
Is it likely to be owners upgrading to the 1250 or is there some kind of backlash against the GS affecting the market?

My guess is it's the arrival of the 1250.

Having owned a GS and an 1190 I haven't got a clue why there's still a market for the BMW at all.

Having owned neither but ridden both the GS and the SD GT I don't understand why anyone would buy a GS.

For us, it’s mostly customers changing to 1250s. But some pre reg bikes to help us achieve targets. They seem to sell the fastest

Many owners get rid of them just before the warranty expires. Hence a glut of 2 1/2 year old machines available.

Also coming to the end of their cheap 2 or 3 year leasing deal..
The GS and GSA are the most sold bike in the UK so there are plenty out there owned and for sale. I love my old 1200GS adn was thinking of upgrading but my bike and £5k to get the lc GS did not work in my man maths.....
