Hi All,

I have a Tracer GT with the heated 'comfort' seat fitted.

Whenever i do a ride 90mins or more, i get pain in the backside, but not in the 'meat' but feels more like bone at the bottom of your hips, takes a good day to stop aching.

I'm doing some 6 days and a billionty miles around Scotland soon, any tips from the tourers on how to reduce this pain?

Thanks
Matt

Speak to your local dealer and see if they will let you swap the seat for a standard one for a trial period; in my experience, most comfort seats aren't.

I seem to get that from sitting upright. Can you tilt the bars so you can lean forward a bit and take the weight off that bone?

Thanks for all replies.

I could probably rotate the bars a bit, it wouldn't move me far but worth a shot, I also have the original seat so I'll try that out. The airhawk looks pretty good actually, I'll check out a few YouTube videos

Thanks
Matt

On my Daytona (with comfort seat) I find that an hour on a motorway leads to arse pain as you describe but it’s no problem on A or B roads. I assume because on a motorway you’re not moving around so the pressure builds up in one specific place. I always plan my long routes to mix up motorways and other roads for this reason.

Hi All,

Just to close this off, i ended up going with an Airhawk seat cover, the 'Airhawk R Cruiser' in size large actually.

This was really expensive, so i intended on sending it back if it wasn't up tot he task, but i'm pleased to report it did the job nicely, we were 6-8hours a day on the bikes.
The pain i normally experianced was present, but not until many hours later than 'normal', and overnight i recovered fully for the next day so i'm not sending it back.

That said, its a bit weird riding on air, not 'locked' onto the bike at all, and you slide forward a little under braking, so i can see how they wouldn't be for everyone.

Thanks
Matt
