No I don't have some sort of deformity, just looking for a helmet that can accommodate a decent pollution mask like you see bike riders with that has decent pm2.5 protection. I felt really st after my ride home last night and I'm sure the diesel st and other crap in the air isn't helping. I was thinking the bell bullit might do the job. Anyone else ride with a full face and mask?

I dont wear a mask but prefer a bit more room, wear glasses. Have a look at a Shark Evo or Evo-One 2. Ive had a couple of them now and its the most versatile helmet Ive ever used and does have more room in the chin bar.

It never ceases to amaze me, that the toxic impact of diesel exhaust particulate, PM10, PM2.5 etc. were all well documented in the mid-90s. I myself did my BSc. dissertation on related topics in 2008, and was (and remain) flabbergasted, by the lack of public interest. It has taken over twenty years to get any real form of acknowledgement the problem even exists, and it's been bumbled by politicians ever since.

The fact you wear a PM2.5 mask to work, whilst I actually don't necessarily think is a bad idea (but bear in mind no protection from NOx etc.), I find absolutely tragic.

Still, when children start walking to school in gas masks perhaps people will feel less aggrieved by the congestion charge.

yes

I don't even need a BSc to know I don't want to breathe that st. Hate following stinking diesels in my car, but at least I can turn on the re-circulation.

And you have a filter in your car.

AGV helmets with the pointy front have decent clearance.

I'm not sure the car is better - you're sat in that air alot longer. I'll check out the recommendations. No ideal mask available but the options are definitely better than a few years ago. In the meantime I've switched my route for a less quick one but with less congestion.
