Good roads around The Gower peninsula?
Discussion
Every year my wife goes away with friends for a weeks surfing. The thing is I don’t surf but I get to tag along on account of her being way wife and all that. Fortunately we have a van that takes the wife’s surf board but more importantly it also takes my bike. So this years trip is to the Gower peninsula just west of Swansea and I’m looking for recommendations for good roads and places to go. TIA
I went to uni in Swansea and used to surf a lot while I lived there. I mainly went to llangennith to surf. The beach is huge, sandy and great for surf if there’s a decent swell. I can also confirm that the road from Swansea to gennith is very very good for a hoon!
Only thing to beatr in mind is that the lower carpark at the beach, which is the one you want to go to for surf, is just that. A carpark below a static caravan park. There’s bugger all else there so take lots of supplies.
Caveat. I went to uni probably 20 yrs ago now. It may have changed there and there might be a toilet now.
