I've been trying to get out on the bike now that the evenings are drawing out. i went out for an late afternoon/early evening ride and it was great, but i forgot that its only april and as the sun went down it got cold quicker than i expected. I really struggle to keep my hands warm at the best of times so i need to be better prepared to avoid cold rides home. I have thought about heated grips, but i am not sure i want to retrofit them to my current bike. I think i would prefer to get some gloves that are just a bit warmer for those colder spring/autum days. I don't want a full on winter glove, just warmer than a summer glove. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Alpinestars 365 gets my vote, good compromise of something sporty yet warm and waterproof.

I had Held Race-Tex then replaced them with A*365s. I'm back with another pair of Held Race-Tex which I use from March/April through to October/November (with heated grips).

Thanks for the suggestions. The alpinestars 365 seem to be discontinued from what i can find.

I did spot these on sportsbikeshop, they seem to be very highly rated.

I would try a pair of the Held gloves on in store first, as they have quite long fingers! I tried a small and a medium, the small was too tight with really long fingers and the medium was just right, but with really long fingers.

Stick heated grips on the bike, oxford ones are only £49 these days and are bloody hot.

I had considered doing this, but my current gloves are quite a good fit, do you need some room in them to wear liners?

Yeah i had a look at the sizing and they are available in short, regular and long finger length! too many options, I will try to find a place that stocks them.

I use liners in mine, they were a snug fit to start, but the leather has stretched. Used throughout winter with heated grips

They are fairly thin so do not need much room in my experience.
I was using some silk liners with my leather winter gloves and they seemed OK.

They do not cost much so maybe give it a go and see how it goes?
Will be cheaper than buying a whole new set of gloves and if it gets warmer you can just remove the liners.

I used Held Score 3’s. Goretex liner, with Xtra fit. Excellent gloves as something a bit warmer than my Phantom 2’s and not as thick as the Artics.
