How do people go about restoring an anodized aluminum frame (from a 1992 CBR in this case)?

Im sure people know the finish can get dull and tatty. Is the best way to just get it polished, or are there companies out there that can strip the anodizing and refinish to factory standard?

No doubt that would be easy and still look great but I am going to be looking for an as near factory finish as possible
