I actually think that is a bad decision. He's leading (jointly) the BSB and he's going to ride a WSB spec Ducati he doesn't know at a circuit he probably doesn't know, on a bike that has already thrown Laverty down the road twice destroying itself the first time and Laverty the second time.
Laverty's tweet - https://twitter.com/eugenelaverty/status/112678284...
Ambulances.....is he in separate parts?

I've got to admit a big part of me thinks this is to big a risk for bridewell , bsb off to a flying start then bins it big style in wsbk and fLaverty's tweet - https://twitter.com/eugenelaverty/status/112678284...

ks up his show down fight . Exactly the sort of thing he'd do , but i guess if he does well in Imola ot gets him noticed and opens doors ( maybe )Interesting idea actually, I think Tommy will find it tough, this is a subtly different bike to his and I doubt he got anywhere near close to getting it set up properly yet.
But he will get some interesting ideas for sure and have to learn to ride with full electronics again.
Watched a bit of coverage earlier, some great tweets coming in, mainly about Chrs Evans buying the Dunlop Bridge

Oh look, a bit of rain at Imola and they don't like it because it's slippy and dangerous. Perhaps it needs resurfacing.
bummer for the kawasaki riders and bridewell but pretty much everyone else didn't want to ride .The bit at the end where the presenter said the riders are all gutted they can't ride , yeah except you've just interviewed most of them who've said they don't want to ride .
Not sure what's more dangerous riding a Superbike around Imola in the wet, or driving a 1970s F1 car with no front crash protection except your feet, well we won't about the Superbikes, so here's some 1970s F1 cars doing it recently

I wonder why bridewell got the gig and not Brookes ?
Maybe Brookes did but turned it down due to lack of pay ?
Probably something to do with official team status and customer team status?Maybe Brookes did but turned it down due to lack of pay ?
I agree that Alvaro may have suffered with a lack of previous experience at the circuit. In the sprint race those who used the SCX tyre dropped off massively. A few used it and suffered. More data though for next time.

Bridewell 12th and 4 points, just behind GP Jordi Torres and in front of GP Winner Hector Barbera.
being interviewed when the grid girls walked past and the smirk on his face and wondering eyes was a highlight and his comparison to English racing/weather on top of excellent racing - glad he got a break and not othersGassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
