What’s happening with Sam Lowes??
Each race I hopefully check the Moto 2 results for a podium and then find myself going further and further down to the DNF’s...
There seemed such optimism at the start of the season.
He's crashed in just about every race(??)Each race I hopefully check the Moto 2 results for a podium and then find myself going further and further down to the DNF’s...

Too much pressure to perform, he probably can't get rid of these thoughts even when he rides. Each race I hopefully check the Moto 2 results for a podium and then find myself going further and further down to the DNF’s...

It is probably similar to "you steer where you look" only here the thought is of not falling.
Or he is pushing too much to make up for the previous mishaps.
In any case, it is catch 22 and there is probably no way out of it but a complete change of environment (= give up Moto2 and try in, say, BSB).
I would agree.
I have said before I think Sam is more than fast enough to be a GP rider, but I think sadly the only way he can ride is flat out, he seems incapable of reigning it in. Or riding within himself.
Even his brother was critical of him over the weekend. Adn Alex has managed to do this, no idea how, but he has, Sam just cant seem to make that change.
Honestly I think he needs to change his people, his surroundings, stop having people around him who keep telling him how great he is like Hodgson, and get some people who are hard, make him change.
Sadly it is probably too late, he has spent too long crashing and doesn't seem capable of change, he is on a decent bike now, and simply bins it numerous times every weekend.
A new environment is needed, he simply doesn't have the mental capacity or maturity to be a GP rider in my eyes.

Maybe you should put yourself forward? With your knowledge and his skill....CQ8 said:
