Leg bags.

What do y'all think? Good, bad or metro-sexual for the modern biker smile ?

mmmm....the size of these things isnt really any more useful than a couple of pockets in a jacket or trouser.

If I need to carry more than what fits in a few pockets, then a small bag on the bike or rucksack would be my preference.

I could see the use if I was out on a sunday in one piece leathers and no pockets. They do look a bit 'bellend on holiday' though.

I don't really understand them - why not a bum bag or a small backpack? Let's face it though, if you're out in bike gear you tend to look like an absolute bellend to most folks.

i use one when abroad with my mates. One piece leathers with only one internal pocket is not ideal for toll booths. So leg bag - put ticket in, with a few euros easily available for paying at the other end. Typically I get all the tickets (3 of us) and pay each one at the other end - only one person has to faff around and take gloves off. Enough space for my wallet and phone as well.

However, if you get one, make sure you zip it up fully - you really don't want to get to your destination to find the wind has fully opened it and your phone and wallet are nowhere to be seen banghead

Get a small tailpack on the pillion seat. The Kriega ones are excellent and the fittings stay on the bike (hidden) so it's a 2 second job to attach and remove.

Far less likely to cause issues whilst moving about on the bike, unlikely to catch on a bush and pull you off (ooh err) the bike, don't look gay.

I can imagine they'd be useful when touring. Somewhere to stash the wallet or a credit card for the peage for example, moreso if you don't have a tank bag.

I'd never use one when the Kriega waist pack is available.

Hmm, the more I think about it the more sensible they seem. Tail packs are ok if you've got a load to carry and a pillion seat to attach it to but otherwise not much use and you have to get off to get at stuff in them. I've always found tank bags get in the way. Fanny packs are ok I guess but don't look any better than this. Maybe this is the way forward if you just want to carry a phone and a credit card and have no pockets. fk I'm suggestible frown

I think that's about the most macho and manly thing I've ever seen next to assless leather chaps and Freddie Mercury moustaches.

That would be just perfect for carrying some extra thick condoms, some poppers and some j-ube...

Kreiga backpacks(we do love them on this forum) have a credit card/ mobile phone sized storage compartment on the front straps.

It's very useful.

That's a good idea. They're great bits of kit, I've had mine ages, never looked after it and it's been bomb-proof.

Are Kriega packs worthy of their reputation? Always seems like a lot of money for a backpack but people rave about them.

The quality is amazing. My only complaint is that the smaller backpacks (R20) are not waterproof.
