It's a bike i've often wondered about buying. It fits with the high power/upright position mix i find i want these days. They are not cheap so i'm thinking they have a bit of a following?
Ridden or own one, anyone?

My uncle has 3. One for every day riding clocking over 50k now, one show piece and one with loads of trick bits used as the weekend special

He's in his 60s now and swears by them. Last of the old school as he says. Only gripe he has is their weight. My uncle is 6ft 2 and a big stocky guy and even he has mentioned the weight a couple times but he reckons the engines are a peach

I think it’s a very personal thing. Some people love them and others can only see the flaws.

I’m not convinced the market supports the prices people are asking as I’ve been following a few that are priced in the normal range (shade under£6k for low mileage good condition bikes). They are all still listed for sale after a few months on the market.

I think owners have bought into the low supply, if someone wants one they will pay this, mentality more than the market supports.

I had one of these, like all of the bikes i've sold, i sorely missed it, i had it from new.
The power on it was absolutely bonkers, however, it was really comfy, at motorway speeds you'd need a screen for distance commuting.
Pillion seat is fairly tiny.
It wasn't great on fuel, but it was a big heavy bike, however, once moving it felt fine.
Looks are a bit marmite, (i loved it), however if you change the stupid bazooka exhausts out for some after-market under the seat types, it looks a lot better.
I traded mine in after 12 months of ownership from new as i needed to buy a car, i think i got about £5400 for it & that was in 2010.

I'd have another tomorrow if i could spare the money.
