laugh Very good

I think it's the bad weather making folk grumpy, we need a couple of dry weeks ago everyone can enjoy themselves.

The secret with many forums i frequent is to get yourself to a position where you genuinely don't get affected by an abusive reply. 99.99% of the time you're never going to meet the person so it matters about as much as the schoolkid who gave me a V sign yesterday as i cruised past on the V Max.
Maybe this thread could have some jokes posted and we can keep this one at least fairly war-free! (Then again with modern wussy PC, maybe that's fraught with danger!)

I told my wife i thought i saw Suggs in York yesterday. She told me it was the first sign of Madness.

add to this the scooter "riders"
scary creatures
today one of the species almost crashed himself, me and a car behind us, just because he had to be in my blind spot 10 inches away from my back wheel and then overtake fast over white lines, over pedestrian crossings etc without blinking.
of course eventually I caught up with the prick and was 3 times faster where it counted

The little bd!

How dare he disrespect a motorcyclist?

Being a powerfully built company director internet hardman, I would have spun the bike round, ridden him down and made him bite off and swallow the offending digits.

Maybe...

The key to forums is to not get personal and don't take any thing said personally.

Which is maybe the issue. We used to meet up from here quite regularly, made some really good ‘real’ friends through this site!

Indeed. About, 10 or so Old Gits joined Old Gits trips having read threads on here, but not previously having met any of the other Old Gits. I consider many of those as friends.

I never take anything personally unless someone feels the need to be spiteful about my kids/wife

Other than that I give as a good as I get and always take the piss

So let's now do some humility. I ride a litre sports bike and would like to think I am sh*t hot on it. Now let's look at the reality. Riding home from Scotland in the spring it was really cold and for reasons i dont need to go onto had to get back pretty quick, as in couldn't stop rather than speeding. So after many hours in just above freezing we stop at Penrith services, I pulled Into the pumps for fuel, funnily enough, went to put my leg down only to find it was so cold it refused to move, not even a little bit and over I went, slightly damaged bike and massively damaged ego. If only those people watching could have seen me a couple of hours earlier absolutely blasting through the glens. They would have said, cor he's sh*t hot.
