Bike meets North East?

[craig-A]

I'm heading down to Newcastle to see relatives and would like it to coincide with a bike meet or 2 so wondered if there are any bike meets in the north east off the A1 type area.

Days, times and locations would be great, many thanks.

There are occasionally meets at Washington Wetlands Wildfowl park near Sunderland and another in Hexham. I'm not sure when they run as I don't go to either but some of my mates do. Hexham is nicer than Washington and is surrounded by some excellent roads, if you get a chance to visit when the bike meet is on.
