Even though I'm a GSXR thou bod, I do like twins. However if I did 'twin' it, it would be an Aprilla or a Duke. I'm sure one of the current bike mags has an article on TL thou 'R' and 'S's. See if you can track it down.

I have a TLS and the motor is amazing. Folks I know with the TLR rave about it and being a suzuki it's cheap to buy and fix. Recommended!

Ask the question over on www.tlplanet.com for an unbiased reply.

It's in the June BIKE mag. You could probably read it at WHSmiths or Borders if you can't be bothered buying it. It's only a page long.

While I don't have one, my next door neighbour had a new-ish if not new TLR, the front brakes failed (confirmed bike failure not him) - trashed the bike but he was OK.

Am I also right in thinking the R's were said to be bite-y back handling wise aswell?

A mate of mine always wanted one. He bought it finally last summer. He's sold it already and bought a jet black 2005 Gixer thou.

By all accounts, they have very good power for a twin, good noise and reliable. Supposed to be a bit of a barge, though. Quite heavy, I think.

Or for a really cool home for the Suzi motor, I've always lusted after one of these

That's the one with the rotary damper on the rear isn't it? Doesn't work very well apparently but you can convert them to a standard shock i think.

The TLS unfaired bike had the rotary damper. The TLR is conventional - I think! (90% sure)

TLR had rotary damper, same as TLS - although many have been changed to conventional type.

there's some discussion on TLR on an earlier thread;
