I have an Arai helmet and I need a compound to polish up an area where I had to wet flat some scratches out. All I keep hearing about is about what not to use and very little about what I can use. Ideally I'd just use Autoglym SRP but I'm not sure it's okay on a fibreglass shell, it does contain petroleum distillates. I thought it's fine on cars so why not. Any advice??? Cheers.

Srp is a filler polish not a actual polish.
Any modern polish will be fine.

Try Sonax 4/6 on a medium-soft 3 inch pad.

I've found in the past that SRP has a very mild cutting action which is what I need, maybe your suggestion is better than this. I used 7000 grade paper so there's not much left to do by hand. Thanks for the tip on the alternatives.

SRP won’t cut st even with a machine.

The 4/6 suggestion above was a solid one for a mild safe cut / polish.
