Put in my order even though the machine isn't revealed until August, I figured they can't really screw this bike up and I've been waiting ages for the 765 edition. Hopefully it will be worth the wait!

I asked and was told 20k, they wouldn't say or didn't know much more about it.

Also looking at the 959 replacement when that is unveiled toward the end of the year.

It's about time Suzuki dusted off the gsxr750 and got that back into production.

Is 20K really that ridiculous these days?

I mean any suggestion it's not worth the price tag because of a ~250cc deficit compared to most halo sportsbikes is surely a bit silly?

It is and its not respectively.

Can't see it making a good road bike and at that price you could get an ex BSB superstock bike for track.

They would seriously need to up the power and build quality of the Street RS to get anywhere near justifying it.

Don't get me wrong, that's where my money would go as well, and I don't even like Ducatis as a rule... But it's new versus used, Italian (German?) versus British, full fat sportsbike versus something (potentially) leaner, lower volume production, and a bit more special, even if it (maybe) will lack the finish of other high end products.

I can see the attraction personally. I mean, a niche market works for cars doesn't it? Despite them often not offering the same performance or finish of more ubiquitous vehicles, and you know the British Journos will soil themselves over it which will keep residuals up.

My dealer said between 15- 17k, the order itself states 16k...no further news yet but I figured it was worth a punt in case they really nail it and I have, really, really wanted this bike for a while. Given the cost of the Speed RS it will have to be pretty spectacular to justify the price tag, but I also think it will held up well in future given the limited availability (231 for the UK) and name/heritage. It will be a high/dry day machine rather than my commuter!

How much is fully specced S1000RR? I rode it two weeks ago on my local hills, fully specced with carbon wheels. I swear first thing I thought "that reminds me of my 675 Daytona", light, steers quick, easy to ride, comfortable, not wide and easy to hook into the tank with the knees, great brakes, all the bells and whistles...
With D765 you will pay pretty penny just for exclusivity.

Assuming it was the motorsport-liveried M-sport bike, £19700 over here.
