In my dim and distant past I was into bikes and as such seem to have been volunteered to fit a tail tidy to my sister in laws new bike - a 650 Ninja. Am I in for an afternoon of skinned knuckles, or is it a couple of bolts and move a few wires ? I haven't seen the kit yet, but every job involving her usually ends in chaos.

Should be very easy to do.. few bolts and couple of wires!
Nothing scary biggrin
I'm sure you can find a YouTube tutorial for the bike in hand.

Thanks. I had a very quick look on YouTube, but just found a video of someone explaining how they fitted one that was already on the bike laugh
I will have a proper look when I see what she has actually bought, although she said it was a genuine Kawasaki part, so hopefully should be ok. I'm just a bit wary of dismantling someone's 19 reg pride and joy !

If it's an OEM one, chances are it'll be pretty easy to fit.

I'd recommend a good set of allen keys (preferably with ball ends) just in case, but otherwise just take your time and it'll be fine. smile

ETA: R&G have it down as a 1*/super easy and 45 minute job for their version of it.

I've used these guys before - really nicely made stuff.
Not sure this is your specific model: https://evotech-performance.com/collections/all/pr...
