CBR 600f . What's that funny noise?
Discussion
I bought my wife a 2013 CBR600f and she has heard an alarm type noise from under the seat.
Now I have not been able to make it happen despite trying everything I can think of (keys in / out etc).
She says there is nothing coming up on the dash and it doesn't go on for long. Does anyone have any ideas
as I'm stumped?
Many thanks.

Failing regulator rectifier (not unknown on them) leading to overcharging / overheating battery maybe?
Had a similarly odd situation with a mate’s Fireblade on a Euro road trip once - removed the battery (wearing crash helmet with visor down, gloves & leathers!) as it was ball shaped, hissing & whistling then ran away.

Is the Honda Immobiliser "HISS", set up to have an audible beep? I believe some do this when you put the key in and turn.
It's only either that, an alarm (I know you've already said you've checked), or it's not beeping.
I'm pretty sure Honda do not fit any random audible beeping devices to their bikes, so best not to over think this.

For what it's worth, a few months ago i went crazy trying to find where a really high pitched noise was coming from on the bike, could hear it from 10 metres away and it was a constant very high pitched whine which sounded electronic.
Turned out to be fuel tank expansion - it was sitting in the sun and when I opened the fuel cap it stopped the noise.
Felt like an idiot.
