I'm just window shopping for things to buy and wanted to look up this bike but then realised I have no idea what it actually is. Scrolling through the classifieds hasn't helped so maybe they're now rare or I've completely misremembered it.

I'm fairly certain it was a Kawasaki, supersport type bike. The front had two curved bars emerging from behind the headlight, they were somewhat the 'feature' of the bike.
I think it had one big headlight, and somewhere on the front had a group of small dimples (or holes). It was probably new in the late 80's to early 90's.

Hopefully this rubbish description will let someone guess it!

The feature you are talking about must be the air ducts, meaning zxr750 or Zx7r.

Agreed but it's twin round head lights not a single.

early ZX6-R had single headlight and thin support bars from the front cowl...

Think it was used up to the 2002 model?

Could it be the later ZXR400? That still had the ducting but replaced twin lights with a single lamp.

The ZXR400 L had square light and fake air ducts.

Sounds a bit like my old blade (CBR900RRRX).

Bars behind headlight. Twin headlight in single enclosure. Dimples/holes. Just not a Kawasaki.

It entirely possible my memory has merged two bike together! The dimples must have been from the fireblade it seems.

ZXR750 is the closest to how I remember it, but I seem to remember the ducts running parallel to the floor rather than up and over. Again, could just be me misremembering.

I’ve never even seen a fireblade evo, I did wonder about an SB8 Bimota. Learn something new everyday!

SB8 Bimota

There’s also NR750

Thanks everyone! I'm 99% sure it was a ZXR750 I was thinking of and the years have merged other features into the memory (dimples and single headlight for example)

It's a shame the ducting went out of fashion, I think it looks great.

On the 400 (I put a photo of above), the pipes literally go to the top of the petrol tank and do nothing.

Gotta love the 90s. biggrin
