Wow great race yesterday with the Turk toprat razgatlioglu going from 16th to taking the win .

Be great if they managed to get a round on the turkish gp track.

Roofrack is a bit forceful and the conditions played to that. Rea wants to win the championship not end up in the litter.

Looks like Toprak to Yamaha, Lowes to Kawasaki.

Missed the sprint race, keep forgetting.

Absolutely awesome race. Watched half of it whilst doing something on the lap top and thought ‘sod this’ rewound it and watched it properly. First laps were like a UK club race!

Off topic I’d love to do a Euro trackday at the Istanbul track!!

No it's interesting where it all went wrong for bau bau after such a dominant start .

It's times like this I miss chunder , he'd be ranting how reas just taken the easy route being the biggest fish in a little pond .

It’s been a great weekend’s racing. If it was like that all the time then it’s be a fantastic series.

Well done JR, definitely the greatest WSBK rider IMO.

I would have liked to see Bautista push Rea all the way but then i guess that is why Rea is a multiple world champ in superbikes, he is consistent so fair play to him for pulling it off despite the drubbing he took at the start of the season. This must be his best title yet in regards to that.

I was at Donington and Portimao, and can confirm that his first lap in the wet, particularly at Craners, was astounding, and his last lap in Portugal, trying to reel in AB, was spectacular. He is some pilot.

I suspect that, with AB going to Honda, and TR moving to Yamaha, he might well be in a position to lift the trophy again next year ... unless the Honda is going to be something else!

btw, Charlie Hiscott asked AB if he liked being referred to as Bau Bau ... he said he did not.

He is unbelievable, even when he doesn't win he finishes second.

Is it me...or is WSBK actually interesting again? Haha. Ok, we know there are two rounds left but the championship is Rea's, but I reckon the racing in the last two rounds should be good too. Unless Rea finds another gear and does what Bautista did at the start of the season.

Still not sure why Yam dropped Lowes.

I wonder if Honda tried to get Rea before turning to Bautista or the old connection meant it would never happen?

Surely if they wanted the absolute best on the grid on the bike then you look at Rea first?

After all the year Rea spent on a Honda with little success, and now on a super competitive Kwak. Its inconceivable he'd consider swapping, unless his only motivation was money, and Honda offered a Mega deal, but I suspect its not.

One thing I did notice about the Honda this weekend. With Camier back on it looked a hell of a lot better than with Takahashi and Kiyonari on it.

Camier
Race 1 - 7th
Race 2 - 9th

Kiyonari
Race 1 - 18th (46 secs behind Camier)
Race 2 - 14th (22 secs behind Camier)

So I would expect Bautista to also be top 10 on it, maybe with his lighter weight top 6, with some improvement to the bike for any other gains. But I still it is a bad decision from a racing perspective. Money, Ducati said they offered big bucks too.

Maybe behind the scenes there’s a link to Lorenzo seat in 2021 ?

I thought there was supposed be a new bike next year, which is going to blow everything else out of the water. I know it’s only rumour still, as nobody has seen anything at all about it.

He’ll be 37 then. Highly unlikely.

None of us actually know ,

But bearing in mind Ducati offered him a massive pay deal the Honda swop is about more than money .

Tons of power and active aero apparently plus full HRC backing.

Some excellent races this weekend. Toprak was awesome in the first two. Did not expect JR to win the championship at this round, even less so after the first two races! So much admiration for what he has achieved. The supersport 600 race was crazy fun and the 300s are just wonderful! 36 young lunatics great stuff. Very pleased to see Ana win another race. each race is a bit of lottery but the ones who are consistent deserve recognition, Gonzales looks about 12!
I think I spend to much time watching racing, nah.....
