License confusion ... what bike

Hey all,

Would appreciate if some light could be shed on the licence and what I can now ride and to when.....

After a midflife crisis I came to biking late and passed first cbt Feb 19 and time flew and I had to renew my cbt in march valid until 2021. Theory valid to march 2020.

I did a das and passed the mod 1 and narrowly failed mod 2 (ggrrrrrrrr).

Does passing the mod 1 mean I can ride an a2 bike and The test cert is for 2 years but the cbt expires in 18 months ...does this mean I can ride to the expiry date of the mod1 or cbt?

And finally when getting insurance does this class as full license r provisional?

Questions question .. any help is greatly appreciated!!

No you can still only ride a 125cc on a CBT until it runs out until all the das is completed.

I think you're on a CBT licence only until you pass your MOD2 on one bike or another.

Both MOD1 & MOD2 are required on either an A2 Compliant Bike to allow you to ride A2 bikes or MOD1 & MOD2 completed on a full A Compliant bike to get your Full A (unrestircted) Licence.

Just to add a little twist you need to pass the mod 2 before your theory expires otherwise you will need to do theory and mod 1 again.
