Hey everyone, Just passed my restricted test and bought a vfr400. Wonder if anyone can help me with a question. My vfr has a HB paintjob. Spoke to a couple of people about it and no one can figure out what it is. Hopefully someone one here can help with this query. Thanks.

Are you asking what an HB paintjob is?

At Kitty Towers we are thinking it's a tobacco sponsor from the early 90's.

Scanned the archives and found a rider called Reinhold Rath mentioned, pictured wearing an HB cap. He came second in the 250 world championship in 1987 & 1989 riding for Honda. Googled his name and got a pic of him on his HB Honda. No idea how to post it on here though!

HB also sponsored Suzuki in the early 80's, with a rider called Franco Uncini winning the 500 World Chamionship in 1982.

I really should get out more......

Hi,

Here is a picture of the bike. www.bikepics.com/members/giginger/92vfr400/

(Warning this link goes to a page of thumbnailes of the bike but the actual images are huge once you click on them)

I was just interested in finding out what the HB stands for. Looks like it is a cigarette company.

I havent seen any other bikes with this paint job on bikepics.com or anywhere else on the net.

www.acronymfinder.com comes up with Haus Brinkmann, but I can't find anything about the web about the firm.
