For me it would definitely be my RS250.

Can’t now figure out what the fk I was thinking when I sold it. Idiot!

What hurts most is that there is no possibility of replacing it like for like (mint low mileage) here in NZ.

None of them as they are all still readily available.

That said the 5SL R6 is the one bike I'd own again from bikes I've previously owned that or the 675 Daytona.

RD350 YPVS, KTM 950SMR. Former because it's a proper cult bike now, I was foolish to sell it. Latter because it was just so loveable.

Twelve years on I'm still not sure why I sold it. I regret it often.

I wouldn't buy another one, I only want that that one.

My 2007 Speed Triple, in Roulette green.
Loved it, bought it new and had it three years then sold it because it was pretty crap at high speed touring (fairly obviously).

Strange this should come up now, more about that later,

Six years ago, due to personal circumstances, unfortunately I had to, temporarily, un-emigrate for a few years!
I had a few bikes at the time, an NSR250, an RZR250, a CBR600f, a DRZ400E and a GasGas 280 Pro.
I had easy access to unlimited off-roading and traffic and camera free roads, unfortunately I had to sell the lot.
I'd like 'em all back.

Earlier this evening I opened up the post box to find a demand for 3 years road tax for the CBR600, a bike I haven't owned for six years!
Can't wait to sort that out, NOT!

You've all sold some very nice bikes and I can understand why you regret letting them go. I love the RC30 and 916.

The one I regret letting go was a fairly ropey Kawasaki GT750 - it was my return to riding after a long time away, I bought it as a non runner and spent some time getting it roadworthy again, and it was a great bike to use, abuse and leave pretty much anywhere without worrying about whether it'd be nicked. It wasn't exciting and it didn't induce pride of ownership, but I just liked it. Dependable and practical.

My '79 Triumph Bonneville. Oddly, the chap that bought it from me pocket-dialled me yesterday. Though apparently it's running well.

My Ducati 999S, I was working in NZ, it was in my mum's garage, thought I was going to be in NZ for some time, sold it and then came back due to a change of circumstances, ah well.

Cagiva Elefant, not without flaws (Ducati engine) but just a lovely bike to ride, sold it for a profit though.

My Yamaha YPVS 350, a bike with proper character, I blueprinted the engine, made bronze bushes for every pivot etc, a totally sorted machine. Daily transport all year round, toured Germany on it, sold to fund a business project. What was I thinking?
