Am i right in thinking:

Unless you buy a specific multi bike policy

Your No claims can only be used on one bike

If you have a claim that affects all your policies - including your car

Hmm depends on the insurance

I have 2 road bikes, one renews every November the other March. I have max no claims on one but nothing on the other however both my insurance company last year and the one I renewed with this year were happy to use the discount allowance for both stating 'I can only ride one at a time'

I meant my GSXR1000 was about £280 a year and not £1000+ which is what it comes out without the N/C

Depends on policy
For the last 9 years I have a family fleet policy , has 2 drivers, 3 cars, 2 bikes (has had more - up to 5 bikes and 5 cars can go on it)
Have individual NCB per vehicle
Individual modifications cover if you need it

cost wise, every year upon renewal I get quotes for 5 policies with same features and it comes in pretty similar, some years 10% cheaper

Have had a claim in recent years and it just affected NCB on the car it applied to. Was difficult to pick out increase following year as both drivers got points that year too, and insurance went up, but renewal price was within £50 of previous year.

From a hassle perspective, its convenient to have one policy to renew each year.

Shop around and try different combinations.

It is cheaper for me to have two separate policies instead of one. Even though both policies are with the same company who offered me a multibike quote jester

I had two bikes stolen that were on a multi bike policy, obviously you lose all your ncb if it isn’t protected, and yes most car insurers wanted to know about my bike claims when I renewed.

Just bought a 17.plate speed triple R. Was going to sell my fireblade but the insurance company have insured it fully comp and 4500 miles for just £67.

My new bike was £356 but I only have 2 years no claims.

Company is Bemoto, and if you mention 44 teeth then you get £500 worth of excess insurance for free. So my fireblade has no excess and my £8.5k speed triple has just £100.

Included is full RAC cover inc Europe and helmet and leathers.

fk me I feel like thier fking salesman ..

I have a policy with NFU Mutual that I can call and add bikes to. After the first few the price does not seem to alter much, either - I have 18 on at the moment.
