33bhp restricted license

Hi Guys (merry Christmas)

My brother in law is finally on about buying a bike. He passed his test back in the day when he was around 17/18 and was restricted to 33bhp for 2 years. But never progressed after that that due to car etc....
He's unsure if he's now unrestricted? Anyone any ideas? As I'm newish to the bike scene I don't know.

As long as he passed a test (assuming he did if he was on a 33hp restricted) then this will have become a full unrestricted after two years.

Edit: his licence will have category A (if the DVLA have reissued it since) if it’s unrestricted.
