Imported Bike - unregistered

Hi,
Some questions for peeps that have been down this route.
If a bike comes with a NOVA certificate I assume this implies that all HMRC taxes and duties have been paid, is that correct?
Regarding the NOVA cert' itself, will it show amongst other details the year of manufacture?
Being of an age that means it's MOT exempt, will it still need one when applying for 1st registration, obviously it won't need one after?
I'm sure it will need a dating certificate from a DVLA accepted establishment......Yes?
What about a bill of sale proving ownership?
And the form(s) from the DVLA. plus the fee.
I read somewhere there is a company that will do all this for me, do they still exist?

Yes nova means duties are paid. It won't show any other details.
No need for mot for anything over 40 years old.
Yes, you need something showing the year of manufacture. These are available.
No bill of sale required.
An import pack with forms required are available from the .gov website.
There probably are companies that will do this for you but you really don't need them. It's pretty straight forward.
They may want to send someone to inspect the bike but if they do they will inform you with all details etc.

If you don't have the foreign reg document / export doc or equivalent, you will need a bill of sale and to write a note explaining this.
DVLA are getting increasingly picky. Maybe it's to do with the UK being a used as a conduit to register stolen / vehicles with no title/reg before exporting on with a fresh V5.
Or more likely just incompetence / jobs worths.
