Howdy

So apparently this Streetfighter S might come early, like middle of Feb as the first batch of V2 owners got there bikes Saturday.

Anyone else excited/ordered one?

I'm also scratching my head as my insurance quotes are coming back as high as £1800 Fully Comp, which is slightly depressing at 33 years of age.

I was thinking of going to a company like Racefit exhausts and asking them to make me a system. Bit bored of Akraprovic, we all know the bike is going to be ridiculously bonerific.

Anyways, I'm like fat kid around cake. Can't wait.

I'm wondering how it will compare to the Tuono 1100 2019 model. I am hoping it will be better but by only a few percent in each department.

I've got an 'S' on order but I've not had any updates to suggest a Feb delivery... has your dealer confirmed this?

Is this the V4?, as a Panigale V4 owner for nearly the last 2 years now, I can say, you should be excited, awesome bike, only real negatives are, it's hot, very very hot and the clutch isn't great for either fast pulling away or town work, it's quite grabby but I gather that's just a Ducati trait, other than that, you'll love it biggrin .

Blimey I've only got 5 years on you and mines sub 500 knicker

One of my lot has the S on order with the stupid 4k full system and map that claims crazy power

I ride a 2019 Aprilia Tuono 1100 Factory... I'll let you know how they compare. I'll be getting some roll ons, off the mark etc tests

Thing that makes it difficult is it takes someone fairly competent on one of those street fighters I reckon to get the most from it. Over 210 brake or whatever it is on a naked will not be for the faint hearted

I really fancy the Tuono, some great deals at the mo and the test ride was great. The Street will be all that and more, can’t wait to see the reviews smile

Oh the other one I forgot was sound wise the Aprilia blows the Ducati out of the water, why Ducati went with that 'twin pulse' firing order to make it sound more twin ish I'm not sure, it does sound like a proper V4 high up the rev range though.
I've not bothered changing the exhaust on mine yet, sorry but £4k for a full system or £2.5k for end cans is taking the piss.

They aren’t promising but they are saying, the probability is high.

Sadly Riders.

I don’t even know why I use them, as they were shocking last time, but anything to not visit Plymouth ;-)

I lost all my NCB and I’ve only got one! Plus 6 points! If I insured the bike under my London address, they wouldn’t insure me.

I agree Birky, 210+hp is just unbelievably insane. I genuinely can’t comprehend how that is going to transfer to the road, either way, after a few hundred miles, it will be a track toy for 90% of its life. So hopefully, if I do send it, it will be into a gravel trap and not someone’s living room.

100%. I laughed that he spent that sort of money. Good luck to him if he makes enough to do it but I wouldnt

I can't wait to test ride one of these. Genuinely the first bike I've been excited about in a long time.

I was quite keen on the Streetfighter until I saw it at the bike show. Apart from the fact that the clock surround was held on with blue tac, it just looked a bit of a mess. I'm sure it will be right up there when it comes to the riding experience, but I've got to like what I'm looking at in the garage.

Very true on both counts, Although I will never use riders again, shockingly terrible service.

Exactly, they can't even use the-it's a V4 so there are more bends etc excuse to charge more as a full Akra System for the Aprilia is half that, maybe less. Thankfully the Ducati standard exhaust is more pleasing to the eye than the standard newer Aprilia one(the standard on my 2011 RSV4 didn't look bad to be fair to it) and it doesn't sound terrible so I'm keeping mine as is, refuse to absolutely have my pants pulled down for an exhaust!.

This is where companies like Racefit, Austin Racing and SC Project will always make a killing.....they will offer full systems for at least £1,000 less, maybe £2,000.

SC Project take it a little more seriously than the others, with true power gains, rather than pure noise, which is what Austin Racing is, noise....

£4,000+ for an exhaust system is ridiculous.

£4k is absolute window-licker money for an exhaust...

I bet Termignoni will do one for half that including air filter, remap and all that jazz.

Austin Racing exhausts just seem too loud though, when I bought my second hand RSV4 it came with a full Akrapovic system already on it luckily, was about right, I know someone else with one who had an AR slip on and it was so loud!, think it would have been fun for about a week but got annoying actually living with it after that, as well as annoying all your neighbours.

Arrow do end cans for the Panigale that are £1600 ish, I’d assume it would be the same for the streetfighter, still a bit too costly for end cans imo but I’d consider them.

It looks a bit of a dogs dinner, however it should be great fun.

In no way is it worth the cash they're asking.
