Anyone else on here riding one of these?

I'm using our communal family one as my winter commuter at the minute.

It is a bugger to keep running when first fired up from cold though.
I have to hold the throttle open at around 4k to 5k for a few minutes until it warms up. If i leave go of the throttle the revs just die right off and it stalls.
Once it is warmed up though it ticks over absolutely fine at around 1.5k.

It has had new oil, filter and plugs about 100 miles ago but it's still no better.

Any ideas what it could be?

Is there a temp gauge on the dash? Could be a faulty engine temp so it's not riching the mix up correctly while cold.

No temp gauge on the dash unfortunately.
But that does sound like a sensible suggestion.

Seeing as though I'm repairing some crash damage on this at the moment I thought I'd finally try and resolve the cold start / idling issue.

As the bike will start and idle fine once warmed up i can only assume that its some kind of temperature sensor or thermostat thats playing up and causing the cold start / idling problem? Looking on the moto gb website I am guessing that its item 26 that I require?
