I'm going to need a pressure washer for cleaning the bikes, the car and occasionally the driveway. Anyone got any recommendations of the following. I don't really feel I need anything more powerful for the motorbikes.

muc-off unit, says its tailored for bikes but probably PR pish

Standard Kaercher

Nilfisk c - cheapest of the lot

Nilfisk with a windy reel for you cable but £20 more.....

I've been abusing a Karcher K2 for about ten years and it's still going strong.

I've heard that Nilfisk are supposed to have sturdier pumps, but I'm not convinced.

Nilfisk, it’s been great and I’ve had it about 8 years now. I left it on in the garage one night and the pump was going the whole time without any water and was still fine after that.

Have a look at Stihl, they get good reviews, I think the kit feels more sturdy that the usual stuff and the spec is generally higher per £.

Depends on how much you will use it, the K2 is a good basic unit but its not designed for lots of use. I have a K2 and a K7, the K2 was purchased first and is now just the back up but gave 3 years good service.

As other have said Generally Nilfisk are regarded as better quality. The K7 I have was on offer at a crazy discount, if not I would have bought a Kranzle but they are not cheap.

I had a nilfisk, well still do actually. Had it for 5/6 years until upgraded it with the Karcher K2 aa the nilfisk started playing up. Can’t really tell a difference between them tbh apart from the latched has adjustable pressure settings on the lance which is good.

I used to sell Nilfisk stuff at my old job. Very rare we had one back, generally pretty bullet proof. Had a karcher one that had a dicky pump so got another Karcher which was on offer in Halfords. Seems to be fine, came with 2 nozzles of which one is adjustable for harshness. Seems to be quite capable of clearing drive ways and vehicles a good as any other unit I've tried.

I had a small nilfisk for about 5 years, the pressure cutout switch gave up when I walked in the house, meaning the motor was nicely smoked when I'd filled the buckets ( 2 of course) up with hot water.
Bought another Nilfisk, this time with the Induction Motor and It's good, quieter, more pressure, accessories seem beefier than the entry level stuff, but my Autobrite Snowfoam Lance doesn't work with it, it fits fine, but it starts and stops every second or so. USe the supplied snowfoam bottle and nd that works fine, but not as good suds.

Where you are in the world, just leave it outside.

Alternatively my K2 has been going strong for what seems like forever, I do need to buy a longer hose for it though.

What model washer and what type adaptor do you use for the snowfoam lance

Nilfisk C 135.1i washer

and the Nilfisk Alto adapter from the Autobrite ( Left over from my old washer)

Do I need a different one?

I've used Nilfisk Neptune 2, which is obviously OTT for cleaning a bike, but really well built kit & spares are easily available.

Would this be better for a bike being lower pressure?

I bought a cheap unbranded £35 one from a motor factor type place 5+ years ago, its still going strong, came with all the attachments for a patio etc which work well too.

I suppose if you use one more regularly and want to use it for building work etc, its worth investing in a decent branded item with all the spares back up etc one but just for the occasional bike clean, I wouldnt' be to fussed.

I called to check which one I'd need, the one highlighted is the one I think yours requires. Call them up the guy told me within seconds what I needed, think its only a few quid for an adapter, just tell him what you have and if its compatible or if you need new one.
