Having done my CSS Level 1 at Cadwell last year I am fancying doing a bit more training again this year.
Seeing as though CSS have now gone belly up in the UK I've been looking at the Ron Haslam school and the Whitham school. For no other reason that `I just don't fancy it' the Ron Haslam school doesn't appeal to me right now.

That being said I have been looking at the Whitham school, specifically at Croft as it is only 30 mins or so from my house.

The normal days seem to run in groups of 10 with 1 instructor allocated to that group. I'm guessing it will work similar to CSS in that you all go out and keep knocking the laps out for that session until the instructor either follows and observes you or gets you to follow them for a lap or 2?

There is an option at Croft to go down the intensive route where there is 1 instructor assigned to just 2 riders for the day. Looks as though they video you as well which is used during each debrief? Which I can see being a useful thing.

The cost difference between the normal day and the intensive day is something like £180 iirc?

Anyone else here done both the CSS and Whitham days? More specifically the intensive days?

I've done it at Anglesey over two days few years ago. You generally get a high level rider follow you for a session or when they see you out and about, it's very similar to using the no limits guys.

You get a wee walk around the track on the two day event.

You get some classroom stuff, but it's the usual basics.

It's not really a school or an intensive training day.

However, you have the track to yourself going out in groups of 10-15. That's where I think it is worth the money.
