What bike would you add to you bike garage (regardless of price) old or new.

I fancy something classic like a cb750 or rd350lc or maybe a hailwood replica.

What would you add to your garage?

I’ll be adding a Ducati V4S Corsa at some point. I think they are stunning looking bikes & I need to desperately scratch that itch before I got too old and decrepit to ride one smile

I fancy one of the old Indians.

Would also have a 996 for show, wonderful looking thing.

I'm going to be really boring and say I quite fancy an S1000XR at the moment, as the MV doesn't lend itself to pillion use (I need the pillion seat for my tailpack!), and we've agreed to a few trips together.

Current garage is:

Ducati 916 SPS
Ducati Panigale V4S (Track bike)
BMW K1200RS

I would like to sell the K1200 and get an Adventure style bike, probably a GS. I also want to add a Yamaha TDR 250 and perhaps a Triumph Speed Triple 955. That would be enough for me.

An electric scooter. Got a fast car, got a big wafty car, got a VFR that covers the motor bike thing for me at the moment. (Just getting back in to it)
What I don’t have is something to jump on, nip down the road to the shop, see a mate, take in to town and just park somewhere without faffing about.
Report button is top right.

The thing that got me into motorcycles was when I was about 14 and saw an Open University documentary on the Aprilia 250cc MotoGP team. Previously I'd been into Formula One, but that Sunday I turned on Eurosport and the rest was history!

So for me it would be a Mark 2 Aprilia RS250, in black and yellow. Totally not going to happen given I live in the ULEZ zone, don't have a garage and values are going one way, but if the numbers come up I'd have one before a Desmosedici (but I'd have one of them too!)

you can do that with your VFR, you just think you can't.

Agreed. I've started buying random things but they're squirrelled about everywhere as i dont have the space. Need to get looking for a house with a barn or something...

I do have a ropey old VF1000R in storage that needs full restoration, i will get around to it someday. Frame looks good but no doubt it'll need some serious work to get it roadworthy. Luckily they arent making any more, so spending £2-4k on it to get it refurbished probably isn't going to lose out on any real money if i wanted to sell it.

Would absolutely love an RC30/45. I'm hankering for an RC51 as they're still accessible. Not quite the allure as the V4's but that big old lumpy twin is apparently a lovely thing, and it has the usual quality of the earlier bikes. I do have a CBR250RR (MC22) and im building up a collection of other bikes. Want to go through all of those early 90's weird small jap bikes, VFR400, CBR400RR etc. They're accessible and I do love the whacky colour schemes. 19k rpm on my MC22 is a really weird experience....

One bike? Laverda Jota.

If I can add a few then:

GPZ900R
T160
Would love a VFR400 but can't figure out how I'd fit on one so RC30 (never gonna happen)
Some kinda GSXR
A Harley of some kind, not too blingy or dressery
Harris Magnum, or mebbe a Bimota
...

Actually it gets a bit sweety shoppy really. I'll stick to the Jota thx fairy godmother, might manage one or two of the rest myself, hopefully.

I’ve decided to try and get through the bikes I always wanted. Got a BSA Goldstar that will be used for this summer and see how it goes.

If I love it I’ll keep it, but if not I plan to try and swap it for a pre-war International Norton, probably a project bike for a like for like swap. I’ve always loved the looks of them, everyone I know that’s ridden one says they vibrate terribly but I’d still like to try.

Plan is to work through all the bikes I’ve always wanted, one at a time. I’ll keep the core bikes I’ve got and swap the spare until I find what I want smile
