Are white-coloured leathers a crazy idea? Has anyone managed to keep white leather clean?

You will be cleaning them every week in summer...or just leave them splattered with bugs for that well used look smile

This. My black Dainese has a red and white band. The white band is a bugger to clean and rarely looks really white. I can't imagine the whole leathers being that way.

How dirty does normal, non-white motorcycling clothing get?

I have white leathers but only used for a year of trackdays so far (5 or 6 in total). I only got them as an end of line bargain and fitted great, but so far they have actually been ok to keep clean

depends on what weather you ride in I guess and how fussy you are....

I have friends who clean their jacket/leathers every few rides as soon as they get flies on ....personally not that bothered, may leave it all season and clean/treat come winter.

If you're going to go for white leathers then you need to go 'Wil Hartog white'

A mate had white leathers - he was a 'large' chap.

Looked like a fridge sat on a bike......

Flol, that's mean.

I would say white leathers would be a stupid idea. This is coming from a guy who loves white cars, my last two have been white, the R1 was white and the furygan leathers I bought a few years ago were white. The key phrase there is was. They blacken up just from general riding a treat and show the fly splats lovely. It all starts well keeping them clean etc but eventually you'll stop bothering and they'll look horrible and minging.

Go for it thumbup
