I've been relying on the knee protectors (in the pockets) of my trousers but had my doubts - sure enough, minor off and a lump the size of a golfball on my knee as the pad had moved.

Eager to prevent it happening again I've been looking at the Forcefield Limb Tubes - I did wonder whether the thin protection was up to the job and it doesn't fill me with confidence that they seem to change the design every 2yrs and the current one looks 3x thicker.

I'm wondering about simply buying a Knox knee insert and gluing it to a support bandage.

I'll be interested to see the thoughts on this. I have removable knee protectors in my biking jeans, haven't had an off in them yet, but they do move around a fair bit.

I went for a role down the road with forcefield limb tubes a couple of years ago and they did there job, stayed put and I didn't get direct injuries.
These were the level 1 multi layer triangle lattice design. They then came out with the net armour single layer honey comb design that's level 2 but really thin but don't seem to sell anymore.

I now have the level 2 foam armour they currently sell, it doesn't feel any different to my old level 1 armour when wearing it.
The wicking fabric sleeve seems unchanged and doesn't dig in like straps can.
It comes with an elastic velcro strap top and bottom, I just use the top one, not tight but not loose and it doesn't move.
