Yep, it had to come up sometime!

I've stocked up on beer, wine, (freezable) pies, red meat, bacon, potatoes, butter, cat food, Rizlas, tobacco, lighter gas, jerry can of petrol.
Seriously, though, if the shizzle hits the fan, what will become of the motorcycle industry in this country? I can see a lot of dealers having a tough time for maybe the next 6 months or beyond.
One thing's for sure: if it all ends up Mad Max, I'm keeping my bike to the bitter end!!!!!

I hope this isn't going to affect Cadburys Cream production.

Filled up the bikes today and all the petrol cans, just hoping for a bit of self isolation and warmer weather to enjoy it with...

Many of my customers and reps are either closing or working from home so 2-3 weeks away id say. Just have to visit the parents a bit more and see what happens.

Unfortunately, I really cant see my France trip in June coming off but ill hopefully get over end of the Summer/start of Autumn.

I was hoping to do the Alps in May.
Realised a couple of weeks ago that was never gonna happen. frown
On the plus side, going to work by bike seems even more favourable than ever over public transport vomit

I don’t hold out much hope for Mugello but if the EuroTunnel is still open on 27th May I’m sure as sh*t going somewhere!!!
Until then I’ve got lots of garage tinkering to keep me occupied while the rest of the country seemingly go batst, if the NP&E forum is anything to go by...

On a positive note, if you’ve never been up to the Highlands, get herself North of the Border and do some epic touring in very sparsely populated scenery.

Much lower risk of copping for Covid-19 and lots of fun.

I forgot to mention: I've got the Le Mans 24 booked - will this st be over by then? Or maybe we'll all have died of stress by then??

Lots of hotels and B&Bs up here are struggling with cancellations so this year could be a good year to do the nc500, less crowded, cheaper etc

Probably not the worst idea but I'm sure many of us are wary of booking anything as things could get significantly worse. If the UK ends up trying to limit movement of people then everything will end up cancelled.

Dubai race season: Finished
Bahrain race season: 1 round to go, doubt I make it as flights heavily restricted in the middle east
Traveled to Qatar last week with work and new work policy is work from hone for 2 weeks following any business travel.

Stocked up on few essential yesterday as thing like toilet paper availability is getting less and less.

I don't think you understand the seriousness of the situation.

China managed to slow down the explosion of this disease only through draconian measures, locking everyone up for over a month without possibility to come out and by sanitizing everything on industrial scale (by trucks).
You should read what italian doctors from areas around Milan write, it is scary. Mortality rate is currently around 50%.

Maybe UK can save itself, it is an island after all.

Read this from 2018:
https://www.sciencealert.com/pandemic-simulation-s...

I am in Switzerland and I see mind-boggling complacency everywhere, and this "rich" country does not have enough hospitals (some were closed recently, the military ones as well), does not have desinfectants (European "neighbours" stopped shipments on the border, that is the so called solidarity of EU), masks, suits....

Europe is fked.

And I do not even mention the consequences for those that will survive and come out on the other side.
This is a life changing event on a planetary scale.

Obviously not if you're going to make up statistics. Please provide the source, as I cannot find anything anywhere that gets close to that, and that is scaremongering at its absolute worst.

You sensationalist muppet. The mortality rate is nowhere near 50%, its bullst like this that just propagates the bks being spouted around this whole situation. Read the below and see if you can get your head around real facts.

80% of people who get this virus will suffer mild symptoms.
Over half of those who’ve contracted it have fully recovered already
Italy’s mortality rate is the highest at 6.7%, but it is skewed by them having a huge elderly population in the area affected.
There are over a dozen more illnesses that kill significantly more people on a daily basis that nobody gives a flying fudge about.

The world has gone mad over what is likely to be a non-event. Are we all going mental about the spread of the common cold each year, because they are the symptoms that most will experience.

He’ll believe it and no matter what gets posted afterwards, or the facts that I’ve provided won’t change his mind. He has decided he wants to go into arm waving panic mode and nothing will change that. If he’s telling the truth then if we include him 2 of us in the quote chain will be dead soon rofl

+1 on pay at pump!!!
And an added benefit: the last few drops of petrol you always spill on the tank, will kill off any germs/life forms!!
I have the uneasy feeling that this time round we actually could be fked. what are the odds? 70:30(????)
If the st hits the fan, I have a Mad Max plan: take off your number plate. Stock up of engine oil/spares/coolant/tools, & somehow ensure an endless supply of petrol......scratchchin Oh, & a service manual & computer diagnostic kit.....getmecoat
