Had this delivered today, 38k miles - 9 months mot, mechanically spot on - needs some TLC!

Ordered a replacement panel in the same colours off a breaker from ebay germany and looking at having the wheels blasted/painted or powdercoated along with the swingarm and rear brake caliper stabilizer!

OH and that SUZUKI rear exahust can has got to go!

Nice little lockdown project to keep me busy, she will be going up for sale then smile

Agree. Proper 90's shell suit vibe. I'm not sure if I enjoy it ironically or not, but definitely like it.

My Mum had the same bike in green/blue/white I believe. The 750 anyway. I remember it looking the absolute balls at the time.

The old man had a GSXR-1100 as well, it was quite the garage.

Edit: Tell a lie, I think she had the earlier one based on the pipes;

Probably earlier yes as this one is a 1994, i will try to get some better pics up!

Mechanically its absolutely spot on, starts first go of the button - just had the replacement fairing panel turn up today...

Really lucky to find that in the correct colour scheme and in such good condition!

Heading out at some point over the weekend to collect this..

Just trying to see if it will fit first may need a sleeve welding over it to fit.

Good luck with the project, I love the ZXR750's. One of my first posts in this forum was for buying advice on one, I ended up with 2 of them!! Look forward to seeing the updates!

Nice project! ZXRs are great looking bikes, it wouldn't look out of place parked next to an RC30 or 0W01. Showing my age again aren't I?

One of the best bikes I have ever owned (a J1) and in these colours. I wore the sides of the front tyre out on mine before the centre due to being able to really push the front without drama and a massive mid range that was a joy to use. One of the hardest rear shocks in the world though but later versions got a softer spring... happy days indeed

Always had a soft spot for these, more so than the early Fireblades, just love the green and the pipes in the tank.

LOL - i would probably trade it for the colour scheme alone (green rules) BUT i do have a soft spot for this ebony eventide scheme, its somewhat "different" isnt it?

Hopefully have some updates a week on monday!

Small update - got the bike back from having the rims/swingarm blaseted and repainted - the wheels are a dark purple and the swingarm just redone in black. I had the side replacement side fairing put on at the same time along with two new Michelin Pilot Powers, first time i really got to ride the bike was the night i got it back - i have to say, what a machine! very stable, lovely midrange - great feeling bike to ride!

Its in much need of a clean so dont take too much from this picture as it WILL polish up quite nicely (iv tested a couple of parts) - its listed for sale at the moment for £1995 along with my fzr 600 as i fancy getting either an absolutely immaculate zxr750/zx7r in green or a fireblade BUT im not fussed if i end up keeping these and i will continue to work on them in the meantime, il be soon getting a quill exhaust for the zxr750 if it doesnt sell.

Due to change in circumstances, l'm considering selling my 93 L1. Pretty much as good as it gets for a low mileage (16K) in the right colours.
