Any experience of Benelli's?
Discussion
Good question. No one's every asked before...
I had one from new in 2008. It had a great motor, really raw and punchy and the handling seemed spot on to me.
Brembo brakes worked well and the suspension was a good trade off between sharpness and comfort.
I kept it 3.5 years and did about 9000 miles as it was for weekends and occasional commutes.
No mechanical issues. Sold it to a Dutch bloke who drove over from Utrecht with his van to get it.
Economy was not great. About 38 mpg in mixed use maybe 42 at best which gave it a fairly limited range.

I used to sell benellis and currently have a 2005 benelli tornado rs. As mentioned before the electrical system can be a weak point my bike had chaffing in the wiring loom at the rear- due to the italians not routing it properly. Check the loom and replace the battery with a decent one. As mentioned fuel economy isnt great- i struggle to get 100 miles out of a full tank on any benelli! Check z25 has been sorted and the bike has been looked after. Overall good bikes and the 1130 motor is noticeably quicker and torquier than my 900. Go for it! Heres my 900rs

Cutting...Thanks for the input, I'll try and blag a ride on one post lock down, I just think they look great.
I should also add that I did also have electrical issues after a couple of years...headlight would flash on and off when the bike got hot it traffic...
3.5 years was the longest I've ever kept a bike, I do miss that throaty motor from time to time.
