Any ideas here for small lightweight cruisers for my other half?

She has a Yamaha Sr125 at the moment (lowered) and is looking to do her bike test at some point soon. The problem is due to her height (4ft10) she really wants something with a seat height around 27inches, meaning only cruisers are really suitable.

Her favourite so far is the Honda Rebel 500, good seat height, looks good, and only 180ish kg. The reservation I have is that with the new license laws she can't do her full test on one as it needs to be over 600cc. She is thinking of just doing the A2 license because of this but at 27 years old it seems a shame having a license restriction just because of the cc of bike.

Are there any similar options to the rebel 500 but with over 600cc?

Kawasaki 650 vulcan, great bike for the short of leg, very popular where I live in Asia, great bike up to 80mph, loads of accessories.

The Rebel 500 is a great bike; looks nice, handles well, Honda reliability etc.

If she's happy to have one, why not let her sit the A2 and stick with it?

Realistically, it has enough performance for everyday use anyway so, unless she wants to "go large", I think she will love it.

Bit left field but take a look at a Yamaha Virago 535.
I can't remember the exact seat height but when I rode a friend's I remember it being very low although admittedly I'm a foot taller than the lady in question!

Monster? Low to start with, plenty about with mods to make them lower still.

That was my first thought. Or maybe drag star 650. Didn't Honda do a 650 shadow?
