Trying to get an old Ducati monster back on the road. Clutch slave cylinder had seized so I replaced it with a second hand one which came with a lever, master cylinder and the pipe.
I had trouble bleeding it, so I thought I would reverse bleed the system. I can get fluid from the bleed nipple on the slave cylinder up to the banjo bolt at the top of the pipe where it joins n to the master cylinder, but when I nip up the bolt I can't get any fluid to go into the master cylinder.
All the online tutorials just show the master filling up gradually when pressure is applied, but I get nothing.

Anyone point out what I am doing wrong?

There is a small port which allows fluid to feed from the clutch master reservoir into the high pressure side. It's probably blocked with gunge which has accumulated over the years.
Unblock this and you should be OK.

Is the clutch lever pulled in while you're trying to get fluid up into the master cylinder?

The rubber seals with these degrade with age If it's not new, it's probably leaking by now.
