Any advice on who are the top specialists in this area and the potential costs that might be involved. A friend's eighties Suzuki GSXR has developed a rumble from what sounds like the bottom end, which is a pity as it's a really nice bike. I've seen recommendations for Grumpy 1260 and the Superbike Surgery but has anyone had first hand experience?

I have bought a few parts from Grumpys over the last few years, always good prices and he knows his stuff. He has a good rep on the forums I use.. ie Z1OC.

I have a Mk1 Suzuki GSXR.
Please join OldSkool Suzuki forum - it is THE source of all information, but DO READ THE RULES before posting. They get odd about mentioning other bikes - HONDA is a sackable offence! Full of seriously well experienced guys.

If I was to use a mechanic I would post on there for whatever area you need, the guys will point you in the right direction.
