Cant find a definitive answer ,so does anyone know, can you take a Honda to a Yamaha dealer for a service as long all genuine Honda parts are used and keep the warranty intact?

If it was done to the manufacturer's specs, yes.

As far as I am aware you can actually do it yourself, if you are so inclined, as long as you use correct parts etc. EU Block Exemption or some such.

For the European block exemption to be valid the work must be carried out by a VAT registered garage. I think they have to use genuine parts too but I'm open to correction on that bit.

My understanding is that the EU block exemption doesn't cover motorbikes - therefore they need main dealer servicing to maintain the warranty.

Unfortunately I can't find a link that confirms either way.

Correct , as long as its a VAT registered business and genuine parts are used, that keeps the terms of your warranty in place.

Confirmed this with BMW and Yamaha last year when I bought my new bike.
