I think I know what the answer will be but...

My speed triple R on a 17 plate with just 2800 miles on it has started to weep oil from the cam cover when its ridden hard.

I know the bike is out of warranty but it does have a full service history by triumph. Is there any chance in hell that triumph would put this right or at least make a contribution?

Has anyone ever had any luck in the past?

I'm just a bit pissed off with st going wrong with cars and bikes lately. My V8 E60 is leaking oil from the cam covers as well, and I'm in the process of rejecting the mini I bought the wife 2 months ago..

Has the cam cover been off during any of the services? When was the last service in terms of mileage elapsed...

Where is it leaking from, long endor short side or corner? or is it coming from a breather pipe??

If so, possibly pinched the gasket when re-installing? Cam cover nuts not torqued up correctly? Small piece of old gasket still present causing a raise/bump

If you're not handy with the spanners, the I guess you'll have to take it to the dealer who last serviced it and ask them to take a look...

But leaking covers are usually a simple thing to fix

.....It was last serviced at 1300 miles in sept last year. I bought the bike in December 19 so it's done around 1600 miles. So no idea if the cam covers have been off

.....looks like it's coming from the corner nearest the rad

.....It does look like the gasket is slightly pinched now you mention it. I'll get a pic in a bit.

...I think I'll just do that, then judge by the estimate whether to get my hands dirty or not. It's not that bad yet but I was just surprised with so few miles.

I'd order a gasket and DIY it if you're handy enough, it of warranty it's probably more faff to try and get them to fix it.
